The weight,
counted.

Log the set one-handed — or straight from your lock screen — get coached through the session live, and open next week with the loads already written. Bring your history from Strong or Hevy and none of it starts over.

Android pre-registration opens closer to launch — pick Android in the form and we'll send you the link.

01 the switch

Bring five years with you.

Export from Strong or Hevy, hand Top Sets the file, and your history comes back whole: every set, every PR, every kilo. Duplicates are skipped, so a second import is safe. Your milestone ladder unlocks everything you had already earned.

02 the cockpit

Open the app already knowing where you stand.

The Training Cockpit reads every set you've logged and turns it into a morning readout: last session's verdict, weekly volume against your targets, which muscles are loaded, and which PRs are realistically in reach today.

Muscle heat map

Every set shades the body map. Flip to recovery mode to see which muscles are ready to be hit again.

VolumeRecovery

Recovery load

A per-muscle recovery timeline, so rest days stop being guesswork.

PR Lock-On

Top Sets watches your estimated 1RMs and flags the records within reach before you even warm up.

Bench 3RM · 2.5 kg away

Squat 5RM · 5 kg away

Momentum & consistency

A 14-day strip of hits, plans and rest days, scored into one momentum number.

03 the set logger

Built for the set, not the spreadsheet.

Log a working set one-handed between efforts. Roles, methods, RPE and rest are all on one screen, and every one of them coaches you back. Prefer speed? Switch to the list layout and the whole session is one scroll, one tap per set.

  • aEvery set carries a role and a method: top set, back-off, drop, rest-pause, AMRAP, cluster, myo-reps. Targets come prefilled, and each one shows where the number came from
  • bA plate loader that tells you what to put on the bar, and hands the weight straight back to the set
  • cPull-ups and dips log the added weight and count the real total. Unilateral work logs once per side and counts the true ×2 volume
  • dThe rest timer keeps counting past target, and the finish alarm repeats until you dismiss it — six sounds, so you hear it in a loud gym
04 progression

Weights that plan themselves.

Leave it on Auto and Top Sets picks the scheme for you, then does the math: it reads your reps and RPE against weekly volume and writes the next session's loads before you get there. Take the wheel whenever you want it.

  • aAuto reads the rep range and picks the right scheme, so you never have to choose one to get started
  • bSix more on tap per exercise: double progression, top set + back-off, linear load, rep progression, RIR ramp, or manual
  • cVolume-aware suggestions, not blind 2.5 kg jumps
  • dDeload nudges when fatigue outruns your recovery
05 the program

A whole season, planned in blocks.

Build mesocycles from block types: hypertrophy, strength, intensification, deload. Set a weekly set range per muscle, or pick a training style and Top Sets seeds all fourteen in one tap. Simple editor when you want speed, Advanced when you want control.

Weekly sets per muscle, in plain English. Under the hood these are the MEV, MAV and MRV landmarks — you just never have to think in acronyms to use them.

06 the verdict

Every session ends with a verdict.

Finish a workout and Top Sets stages the reveal: a verdict on the session, a lift-by-lift recap of what actually moved, and every PR stamped the moment it happened.

The finish ceremony

Verdict, count-up stats, muscles worked and a share-ready PR card. Then the Session Recap breaks the day down lift by lift, biggest movers first.

The load that beats your record

Exercise Insights turns your best estimated 1RM into a ladder: the exact weight that ties or beats it at 4, 5 or 6 reps. Plus a momentum gauge that works from your second session, not your tenth.

A debrief per exercise

Each lift compared to last time: volume delta, RPE trend, rep insight. An Insights view for the story, a Raw view for every set — and you can drag to reorder or edit any of them after the fact.

Honest numbers

When a trend needs more sessions to mean anything, Top Sets says so instead of decorating a guess.

07 nutrition

Fuel that reads your training.

The nutrition engine learns your real TDEE from your own logs and weigh-ins, then correlates what you eat with what you lift.

  • aAdaptive TDEE with confidence tiers. It needs just 10 logged days and two weigh-ins to start
  • bTraining-day vs rest-day targets: carb cycling without a spreadsheet
  • cCorrelations from your own data, like tonnage +15% the day after hitting macros
  • dQuick-add logging keeps the diet honest on the days you don't want to weigh rice
08 the ladder

Every kilo you move climbs the ladder.

Top Sets totals your lifetime volume and pins it against things you can picture. The gallery shows every milestone at once, with an honest ETA for the ones still ahead, built from what you actually lift per week.

09 the receipts

We ship every couple of days.

You're being asked to trust an app that isn't out yet, by a team you haven't heard of. The only honest answer to that is a dated record. Here is every build we've shipped recently, features and fixes together, straight from the release notes.

  1. Progression forecast, and a queue that never drops a write

    • NewExercise detail now forecasts when you’ll add weight next, and by how much, from your own history
    • NewA write that keeps failing stays visible and inspectable instead of vanishing, with one tap to retry
    • FixedOne stuck write could hold up unrelated ones. They drain independently now
    • FixedDragging a session to rearrange your week could catch or stick partway through
    • FixedThe rest timer could stay frozen at 0:00 on your lock screen after rest ended
    • FixedRating a set’s RPE from the lock screen could silently fail on exercises with a warm-up ramp
  2. Any program length, from 1 to 52 weeks

    • NewThe program length picker takes any number of weeks now, not just the fixed presets
    • FixedWeighted pull-ups could show a strength jump that never happened when a set predated your first logged bodyweight
    • Fixed“Log set” on the lock screen could keep targeting an exercise you’d already finished
    • FixedA long program could look empty past its later weeks when a coach opened it to edit
  3. Session Recap, and your own volume targets

    • NewYour summary became a lift-by-lift recap of the session’s biggest movers
    • NewSet your own weekly set targets per muscle, or seed all 14 in one tap
    • NewStarting a programmed workout now works fully offline
    • FixedFinishing a workout could stall for up to a minute. It doesn’t now
    • FixedA Live Activity could stay stuck on your lock screen after a force-close
  4. Photo check-ins, rebuilt end to end

    • NewOne clean flow from weight to photos, with a save bar that stays put
    • NewA Milestones gallery with an ETA for every milestone still ahead
    • FixedA saved check-in could fail to reach your Progress timeline
    • FixedWeight could be stored in the wrong unit for imperial users
  5. Programs you can actually rearrange

    • NewRename any day across every week, and drag to reorder your training days
    • NewImport a session into any day, not just the current one
    • NewTapping a program opens a clean overview instead of dropping you into editing
  6. Never wonder where a number came from

    • NewEvery suggested weight now shows its source: last session, program default, or progression
    • NewPick your rest-timer sound from five chimes
    • FixedA banner could squeeze the rest of the screen on some devices
  7. Stop re-entering the same numbers

    • NewSet default weight, reps and rest for an exercise once; every week picks them up
    • FixedOn Android, some menus could get stuck open with no way out

What we owe you for testing this.

A beta is a trade. You give us the rough edges you find; we owe you something better than silence. So here is what we hold ourselves to, in writing.

  • Your message reaches the people who build it.There is no support tier and no ticket queue. Reply to any email we send you and it lands with us.
  • We reply within one working day.Even when the answer is “not yet” — you'll know it was read by a person and where it landed.
  • Bugs get fixed in days, not quarters.Scroll up. Every fix in that log went out in the next build after it was found.
  • When it's a no, we say why. Some requests don't fit what Top Sets is for. You'll get a reason, not a roadmap link.
